Project Officer Climate Adaptation and Natural Resource Management
Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Climate Adaptation Planning project, developing project proposals, and building partnerships with government and non-government organizations.
• Develop project proposals in collaboration with partner organizations, considering community needs and country program plans.
• Maintain relationships with government and non-government organizations to enhance project impact.
• Engage stakeholders on climate change impacts on vulnerable communities.
Responsibilities:
• Accompany and monitor projects and partnerships to achieve agreed results.
• Facilitate knowledge management, public relations, and information work.
• Identify experts to develop climate adaptation planning modules, conduct training, and provide handholding support.
• Review community mobilization processes and suggest improvements.
• Draft six-monthly and annual reports and review finance reports.
• Work closely with M&E officers and partners to develop and implement monitoring, learning, and evaluation systems.
Qualifications and Experience:

Candidates must have a postgraduate degree in Social Sciences, Economics, or Agriculture from a reputable university. A minimum of 10 years of experience in development work is required, with at least three years in grassroots development. Demonstrated experience in strengthening small farmers' livelihoods and participatory natural resource management planning is essential.
• Understanding of climate change concepts and strategies.
• Experience in district planning and channelizing funds to vulnerable communities.
• Strong commitment to addressing gender discrimination and working with marginalized communities.
• Excellent analytical, conceptual, and writing skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Hindi.

Duration of Contract:
