Seabird Island Band is seeking a Climate Adaptation Intern to support Indigenous-led resilience initiatives in Agassiz, BC. This position involves contributing to community-driven climate initiatives, focusing on Indigenous-led climate planning. Your role will impact the development of actionable tools and strategies for climate adaptation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collect climate and environmental data from multiple sources
• Conduct GIS mapping to visualize climate hazards
• Assist in community engagement activities and workshops
• Document Indigenous Knowledge and community climate concerns
• Produce reports and presentations for strategy development

Requirements:
• Background in Environmental Science, Geography, or related fields
• Familiarity with GIS software (ArcGIS/QGIS)
• Enrollment in a full-time academic program
• Strong communication and intercultural skills
• Valid driver’s license recommended
