Job Description

The Climate Action Campaign US is hiring a Climate Action Specialist to support national climate policy advocacy through its Government Affairs Fellowship program. Responsibilities include developing strategies, building stakeholder relationships, designing advocacy campaigns, and analyzing data. Candidates should have an advanced degree or equivalent experience in environmental science or policy, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Climate Action Specialist through our Government Affairs Fellowship program. In this role, you will work closely with our Government Affairs department to advance and defend climate policies at the national level.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement effective strategies to advance climate policies, including analyzing and tracking legislation and decision-maker positions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Congressional staff, administration officials, and national and local partners.
• Design and implement creative advocacy campaigns to raise awareness and build support for climate action.
• Analyze and interpret complex data sets to inform advocacy efforts and track progress towards campaign goals.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including policymakers, media, and the general public.

Requirements
• Advanced degree in environmental science, policy, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record of success in environmental advocacy, policy development, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data analysis and interpretation, as well as experience working with large datasets.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
