beBeeInfrastructure is seeking a Civil Infrastructure Development Specialist in Bowling Green, KY. The role involves supporting transportation project planning and design, analyzing traffic data, preparing engineering drawings, and collaborating with senior engineers. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, experience in transportation engineering, and familiarity with CAD tools. Transportation Civil Engineer Opportunity
The selected professional will be part of a dynamic team that focuses on innovative transportation solutions. With a wide range of experience in roadway design and civil site development, the ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills and be motivated to work with an experienced team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support planning and design of various transportation projects including roadways, intersections, pedestrian facilities, and safety improvements.
• Collect and analyze traffic data, roadway conditions, and design requirements.
• Prepare drawings, plans, and details using engineering software such as MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, or similar CAD tools.
• Participate in design reviews and client meetings to gain exposure to the full project lifecycle.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (AASHTO, MUTCD, DOT requirements).
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to strengthen technical skills and project knowledge.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or expected within 6 months) from an ABET-accredited program.
• Passed or working toward passing the FE exam.
• 0-5 years of experience in transportation engineering (internships, co-ops, or research projects welcomed).
• Familiarity with MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or HEC-RAS preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
• Interest in developing a career in transportation and public infrastructure design.
