Overview
Kimley-Horn's Escondido office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join their Renewable Energy team.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage civil engineering projects related to renewable energy, including BESS, Solar, and EV infrastructure.
• Perform site evaluations, design, and planning for renewable energy projects.
• Prepare engineering reports, plans, and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, environmental professionals, and regulatory specialists.
• Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
• Oversee construction activities and provide technical support during the implementation phase.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional client service and satisfaction.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or able to obtain within 18 months
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on renewable energy projects such as BESS, Solar, and EV infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and standards.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Commitment to sustainability and a passion for renewable energy
Salary Range:
$95,000 to $130,000
