Job Description

The Deep South Center for Environmental Justice is hiring a CIRC Network Director in New Orleans, LA. The role involves outreach to underserved communities across 13 states, overseeing strategic leadership, and managing collaborations with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and HBCU faculty. The Director will lead a team to support CBOs in securing federal grants and enhancing community capacity.
The Deep South Center for Environmental Justice (DSCEJ) is now hiring a Network Director for its Community Investment and Recovery Center. The CIRC Network Director will be responsible for ensuring broad and effective outreach to underserved rural, urban and remote communities in each of the 13 states that comprise Regions 4 and 6. The Director will provide oversee the strategic leadership and tactical implementation of outreach and recruitment of CBOs, advise on communications strategies to launch and introduce the CIRC to underserved communities, manage HBCU faculty collaboration and manage the team that will support CBO’s day to day navigation of cross-functional CIRC Technical Assistance support. This role works cross-functionally with other CIRC senior leaders, DSCEJ Leadership, and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in the CIRC program. The CIRC Network Director will work closely with their team of direct reports, including Regional Manager(s), a Capacity Manager, contractors and consultants to ensure CBOs successfully build capacity to secure vital federal grants.

The Deep South Center for Environmental Justice (DSCEJ) is now hiring an experienced Training Institute Director for its Community Investment and Recovery Center. This is an opportunity to develop and direct an innovative educational resource to support environmental justice communities located in Regions 4 and 6 of the US Environmental Protection Agency. The Training Institute Director has primary responsibility for designing and updating community capacity-building curricula that employ DSCEJ’s Communiversity Model.
