Job Description
Sheehan Phinney Bass and Green PA is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) based in Manchester, NH. The COO will oversee administrative and operational functions, enhance financial performance, and implement strategic initiatives. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree (MBA preferred), 10 years of executive experience, and strong community ties. The role offers a competitive salary of $150K–$250K, full-time hours, and health insurance.
Sheehan Phinney is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chief Operating Officer to join our leadership team. This executive position is based primarily from Manchester, NH and will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of one of New England's premier full-service business law firms.
Key Responsibilities
The COO is responsible for overseeing the administrative and operational functions of the firm. Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Management Committee, the COO drives operational efficiency, enhances financial performance, and implements strategic initiatives to support the firm's growth and client service objectives. Key responsibilities also include providing creative and innovative insights, fostering the firm's collaborative and cohesive work environment, reinforcing the firm's community involvement, and upholding the firm's values and mission. The COO collaborates with the Managing Director and Management Committee to set objectives, measure performance, and promote best practices. Departments under the COO's purview include: Accounting/Finance, Business Development, Compliance, Electronic Discovery, Facilities and Office Services, Human Resources, Information Technology and Security, and General Operations.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of executive leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple administrative functions.
• Effective problem-solving and analytical skills, and a proven ability to drive operational improvements and implement strategic initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial performance.
• Strong ties to the New England community.
