About the Position

As a Corrosion Engineering Expert at ExxonMobil, you will be responsible for providing corrosion expertise to support the development of equipment strategies and integrity operating windows.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corrosion engineering, with experience in refinery or petrochemical facilities. You will work closely with other disciplines to analyze corrosion data, design fit-for-purpose corrosion monitoring programs, and perform predictive corrosion modeling.

Key responsibilities include:
• Providing analysis and interpretation of corrosion data from various sources
• Leading the design of corrosion monitoring programs, including selection of monitoring methods and locations
• Performing risk assessments and root cause failure analysis for corrosion-related threats and incidents
• Collaborating with SMEs on new or upgraded corrosion modeling tools

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced corrosion engineer who can effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Materials/Metallurgy, Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of experience in refinery or petrochemical facilities
• Demonstrable experience and knowledge in aqueous chemistry, fluid-to-metal interactions, and corrosion mechanisms affecting the oil and gas industry

Requirements

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, adaptability and interpersonal skills, flexibility to travel internationally as per business needs, and no recent interview for Materials Engineer position.
