Job Description
COASTAL ECOLOGY GROUP is hiring a CDL Driver in Clanton, AL, to serve customers by managing waste services, including consolidating drums of used oil absorbents. The role requires a Class A CDL with Hazmat, Air Brake, and Tanker endorsements, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience and be able to handle physical tasks. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.
Our Client is seeking an experienced, Route Customer Service Representative with CDL credentials to service customers and meet their environmental service needs. The position consists of serving customers by consolidating drums of used oil absorbents and loading pre-approved waste drums at each customer's site. This position requires a self-motivated dedicated problem solver who is well spoken and provides quality service to our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily:
• Develop a professional relationship with customer contacts and effectively relay the needs of each customer to improve service quality.
• Maintain a Class A CDL with Hazmat, Air Brake and Tanker endorsements.
• Capable of learning and applying waste related regulations pertaining to both the DOT and EPA.
• Move up to 50 lbs. by hand or a 400 lbs. drum with the assistance of a drum dolly.
• Be an innovative problem solver who searches for the best solution that creates the most value for our customers.
Qualifications
• Possess a Class A or B CDL with at least 3 years' experience.
• Must be entrepreneurial driven.
• Route sales experience is ideal but will train the right candidate.
• Ability to evaluate, prioritize and pursue opportunities.
• Self-driven and goal-driven
• Solid oral communication skills
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and random testing thereafter.
• Must be able to pass a DOT medical exam.
• Must have good standing in safety performance history.
