Job Description
Aviva by Kameel, a top-rated Mediterranean restaurant in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Catering and Events Manager. The role involves overseeing catering operations and ensuring excellent customer experiences. The restaurant focuses on high-quality, locally sourced Mediterranean cuisine and aims to provide a family-like atmosphere. This managerial position is essential as the business expands, with a strong emphasis on maintaining existing client relationships and enhancing catering sales.
Aviva by Kameel - Atlanta’s Top Rated Mediterranean Restaurant!
We are seeking a Catering And Events Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for ensuring the best possible experience for each of our catering customers, as well as overseeing all catering operations within our team.
Who We Are
Aviva by Kameel opened in October 2012 with one mission: to provide the friendliest customer service and healthiest, most delicious Mediterranean food to our guests. We are a fast casual Mediterranean restaurant located in downtown Atlanta, inside the Hub at Peachtree Center. Our hours are Monday-Friday from 11am-4pm, and we only serve lunch and catering. We tailor to the corporate lunch crowd, which is why we don’t have dinner hours. We are a family owned and operated business, and aim to treat each of our guests as family entering our own home. As Chef Kameel Srouji (Owner and Founder) says, “If I won’t feed it to family, I won’t feed it to my guests.” Chef Kameel has owned different restaurants in Atlanta for the past 35 years, but this is his first Aviva by Kameel location. Kameel is joined by his wife, Dana, and son, Nas, in the business. Dana is Aviva’s Chief Financial Officer, while Nas is the General Manager, as well as the Catering and Events Manager.
We are opening our second location in Midtown in early 2020, where we will have dinner and weekend hours. This location will be located inside the Collective at Coda, 756 W. Peachtree Street. With the expansion of our business, we are seeking a dedicated, charismatic and ambitious professional that shares our passion for the customer experience to be responsible for all aspects of our catering business.
What We Do
We provide an unforgettable customer experience to encourage our guests to come back time and time again, as well as tell their friends, family and coworkers about Aviva. What makes Aviva by Kameel special is our use of locally sourced veggies, hormone free meats and the exclusive use of Extra Virgin Olive Oil in our cooking. This is authentic Mediterranean cuisine based on years of passed down family recipes. From preparation, cooking and cleaning aspects, we simply take zero shortcuts to ensure the highest quality customer experience.
We make each of our menu items from scratch daily, and you’ll be wondering if you just dined at a restaurant or your grandmother’s kitchen. Our staples are Chicken Shawarma, Lamb Kafta, Falafel, Salmon, Hummus, Baklava, and numerous vegan/vegetarian/gluten free side choices. We treat each of our guests like family, not transactions, and aim to shatter the expectations for a fast casual restaurant. We believe that we offer the healthiest and most delicious food you can buy at any price level. Simply put, food does not get better than this. With all of the health benefits of the Mediterranean diet, plus its increase in popularity, our goal is to open more locations to provide the best food and customer service for as many guests as possible!
Who You Are
This is your chance to join our growing business at the ground level. We are a family owned business, and this position will be the first managerial position not held by a family member.
