Carbon Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team in 2024. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a crucial role in advancing our commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, sustainable development, and a passion for driving positive change.
• Environmental Impact Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' current environmental practices to identify areas for improvement and sustainability goals.
• Strategy Development: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to create customized sustainability strategies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implementation and Monitoring: Oversee the implementation of sustainability initiatives, track progress, and provide regular reports to clients on the environmental impact reduction.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with clients, governmental bodies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration on sustainability goals.
• Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools to analyze environmental data, identify trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Policy Compliance: Stay abreast of environmental regulations and industry best practices, ensuring clients' compliance and proactively suggesting updates to policies.
• * Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in environmental sustainability, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, carbon accounting, and sustainability standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Project management experience, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
