Job Description
Paladin Consulting is seeking a Carbon Footprint Reporting Specialist to manage data analytics and reporting for energy and sustainability initiatives. Responsibilities include analyzing utility data, ensuring report accuracy, and collaborating with the Energy and Sustainability Team. Key skills include data management and proficiency in Excel and Tableau. The position is full-time and based in New York, NY.
Job Description & Responsibilities :
• The purpose of this position is the primary data, analytics & reporting of energy and sustainability initiatives on a global basis for a region or account or within an enterprise client account.
• This role delivers actionable insights from environmental & utility data and assists in the deployment & management of a comprehensive E&S Program.
• Resource's typical working day: Managing the data flow from buildings into online platforms and analyzing the data to find energy savings, Analyzing invoices, regulatory invoices
• Work closely with Energy and Sustainability Team and on-site staff in all levels of organization to meet goals set by the client.
• Work and coordinate with Energy and Sustainability platform to enhance current service offerings.
• Collect and analyze monthly utility data, i.e., electricity, water, sewer, natural gas, oil and waste data with commentary on actual usage versus expected usage, coordinate with appropriate stakeholders to explain meaningful variances. Ensure detailed investigation of significant variances are undertaken to ensure root cause is well understood and communicated. Review utility bills for accuracy and verify that they comply with the associated rates and tariffs.
• Prepare and analyze monthly utility data and review with Energy Manager to validate normalized savings, develop exception reports for senior management, explanation of potential variances and year-over-year trends. Monitor and track, carbon, water use and waste diversion rates, spending trends.
• Compare collected data against industry benchmarks and prepare reports of findings.
• Review all data inputs to ensure the accuracy and timely submission of required reports. Ensure that errors are corrected within the appropriate time frame and are escalated properly.
• Assist in the development, implementation and subsequent monitoring of systems and processes to ensure data accuracy.
• * Systems/Software proficiencies: Excel, air table, Tableau
• Top Must have Skills: Data management, Data organization
• Top Nice to have Skills: Tableau, Understand building engineering data
• Carbon footprint reporting experience or training preferred. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Intermediate skills with remainder of MS Office Suite. Ability to learn and utilize applications such as Capturis, ENEL X, Energy Star Portfolio Manager, and Tableau.
