Job Description
Pike Lumber Company Inc is seeking a Carbon Administrator in Carbon, IN. The role involves managing paperwork related to timber purchases, employee payments, and office management. Responsibilities include maintaining contracts, generating reports, assisting HR, and selling lumber products. Required skills include interpersonal and communication abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a basic knowledge of accounting. A high school diploma is required, with some college preferred. This is a full-time position.
Basic Function
Responsible for all paperwork associated with the purchase of standing timber and logs, paperwork associated with the payment of employees and contractors assigned to the Timber Buying and Logging Departments, periodic reporting of Timber Buying and Logging Department functions to Accounting Department, paperwork associated with the hiring of new employees, regional lumber and by product sales, and general office management.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain all paperwork associated with timber contracts.
2. Maintain all paperwork associated with purchase of cut logs.
3. Maintain all paperwork associated with payments to contractors and employees of the Timber Buying and Logging Departments.
4. Create and maintain periodic reports used by management and accounting.
5. Assists corporate HR team with employee interactions at that location
6. Sells lumber, logs, and by-products for that location.
7. Manages the office and computer network at that location
8. Performs related work as required as directed by their supervisor.

Physical Requirements for Work Comp Light Duty
1. Be able to walk sit in front of computer for long periods of time.
2. Be able to climb, squat, stoop and twist to perform office duties including filing and lifting boxes of paper.
