Carbon Accounting & Sustainability Associate ( Min: 3–4 Years Experience)
Location: Bangalore (or Remote within India)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Carbon Accounting & Sustainability Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring 3–4 years of professional experience in carbon accounting, ESG reporting, or sustainability advisory, preferably from a Big 4 firm or a similar consulting environment.
This role offers a blend of technical and client-facing responsibilities, contributing directly to the delivery and evolution of our Carbon Measurement & Sustainability Platform. The position is entrepreneurial in nature : you will be expected to work independently, take ownership, and drive outcomes with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end carbon accounting and reporting engagements for international clients.
• Manage data collection, emission factor application, and calculation methodologies aligned with GHG Protocol and relevant standards.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and enhancement of our Carbon Measurement Platform.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Integrate sustainability accounting principles into the carbon accounting workflow.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, and operations teams to ensure quality and scalability.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 3–4 years of experience in carbon accounting, ESG assurance, or sustainability consulting.
• Prior experience in Big 4 or reputable sustainability advisory firms preferred.
• Strong understanding of GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, SBTi, CDP, and related frameworks.
• Excellent communication and client management skills, including handling international clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver results under minimal guidance.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
