Job Description

Schlumberger is seeking a Capture Carbon and Storage (CCS) Geologist for their Abu Dhabi location, with potential in London. The Position holder is responsible for:

- Delivering CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) projects, consulting with operations groups as needed to support CCS projects, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and formally communicating findings.
- Provide real-time support to operations as required.
Qualifications
:

- 15+ years relevant experience (with minimum 8 years of hands on CCS experience)
- Proficiency in geological mapping
- Proficiency in structural geology and fault seal analysis
- Proficiency in sedimentology
- Proficiency in rock petrophysical properties, rock-gas/fluid interface, capillarity
- Awareness of rock geomechanical properties and their impact on CCS storage
- Well placement
- Data acquisition program
- Advance knowledge of structural, facies and petrophysical 3D modeling in Petrel
- Hands-on experience in CCS study project including:

- Familiar with certification procedures (CARB, EPA permit VI, ISO) and geological input
- Experience in integrated projects and Cross discipline knowledge and communication (geophysics, petrophysics, geomechanics, reservoir engineering, economic)
- Experience in preparing CCS monitoring plan
- Experience in preparing CCS risk register; safety and risk assessment (likelihood, severity)
- Fluency in English
