Job Description

Environment America is hiring a Campaign Manager in Boston, MA, to lead efforts in protecting bees by educating citizens and advocating against harmful pesticides. The role includes canvassing, developing advocacy skills, and managing staff. Full-time and part-time positions are available with benefits including health insurance and paid time off. Applicants should be passionate about social change and strong communicators. Pay ranges from $15 to $27 per hour.
Work to protect bees in our citizen outreach and field manager positions.

Currently, almost a quarter of bumblebee species are at risk of going extinct, including the American bumblebee, which was once common in Massachusetts. A big reason for this are pesticides called neonics. And worse, seed companies are now coating seeds with these poisons. We know the chemical industry is working hard to keep these pesticides in use. That’s why in our Boston office, we're working to support a ban on seeds that are coated with these bee-killing pesticides.

As a canvasser you will:
• Educate and engage citizens on a campaign to make real change on pressing environmental and public interest issues
• Develop essential communication and political advocacy skills
• Build membership and raise money for nonprofit groups in your community
• Earn leadership opportunities, supervising and managing staff in the field
• Gain the experience and connections needed to launch your career in nonprofit and policy work

At Fund for the Public Interest, we are seeking hard-working individuals with good communication skills and a passion for social change. We are hiring both full-time and part-time staff.
Benefits:
• Medical, dental and vision insurance for employees and dependents
• Commuter benefit program
• 401(k) with employer match
• Paid time off
• Excellent training program
• Opportunities for advancement
• Eligibility for benefits depends on your position, location, duration of employment, and other factors.
Pay: Average of $15.00 - $27.00 per hour

The Fund for the Public Interest is an equal opportunity employer.
