California Climate Action Corps 2026-27 Fellowship

The California Climate Action Corps 2026-27 Fellowship at AmeriCorps offers a full-time position focused on climate action and community engagement in California. Fellows will work on projects related to urban greening, wildfire resiliency, and organic waste diversion while participating in training and professional development. The California Climate Action Corps (CCAC) is an AmeriCorps service program that’s part of a California statewide initiative to address and mitigate the effects of climate change. CCAC matches Fellows with organizations to mobilize community members to take direct climate action through education, volunteer mobilization, and assessment focused on urban greening, wildfire resiliency, and organic waste diversion—including edible food recovery. This is a climate-focused, workforce development program for emerging climate and environmental leaders, with 10-20% of service hours dedicated to training and professional development. We have 400 positions in organizations across California for the 2026/2027 CCAC Program.

Member Duties : Duties may include climate action or climate education projects with an emphasis on community engagement and volunteerism in one or more of our 3 main focus areas: urban greening, wildfire resiliency, and organic waste diversion—including edible food recovery; Expand and strengthen volunteer networks; Build operational capacity to increase climate impact; Participate in 170-340 hours of training and professional development; Track program data and analyze results to quantify climate impact
