The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Business Improvement Lead to join our Brisbane team on a full time, permanent basis.
In this role, you will oversee the Business Analyst cohort and work closely with the Ashurst Service Central (ASC) leadership team. The role involves leading projects, designing and improving end-to-end services, and driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives. The Business Improvement Lead will also manage stakeholder relationships in Australia and APAC region, ensure alignment with strategic goals, and support the Global Manager and Head of Function in delivering key strategic objectives by triaging and prioritising work.
As a subject matter expert in process analysis and continuous improvement, you will also coach and train the team in the application of service design and improvement tools and techniques. Your role will involve facilitating process workshops and problem-solving sessions to enhance existing processes.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Ability to build trust, manage expectations, and influence senior-level stakeholders in a complex business environment.
• Experience in service design, improvement of target operating models and service catalogue creation and/or management.
• Proven ability to lead projects, run process mapping workshops, and develop capability models.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and present to senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in analysing complex information and processes to define services and their specifications. Passion and sense of urgency for executing performance improvement projects and delivery of workshops.
• Proficiency in JIRA, SharePoint, and MS Office Suite products such as Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and ideally Visio or other process mapping tools.
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Practitioner preferred; alternatively, 2-4 years of hands-on CI experience with a strong delivery mindset.
