About the position

The Business Development Specialist at Eocene Environmental Group plays a crucial role in driving business development initiatives within the Sustainability business unit. This position focuses on managing client relationships, supporting business development activities, and ensuring client satisfaction. The specialist will collaborate with various business units to connect clients with the organization's service offerings and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.

Responsibilities
• Manage leads through the sales cycle, including scheduling meetings and leveraging appropriate staff to present business offerings.

• Research new leads and provide relevant information to subject matter experts participating in meetings.

• Coordinate development of quotes and proposals for prospective clients and current clients for business expansions or renewals.
,
• Monitor RFPs and grant opportunities and develop strategies for working with collaborative partners on project proposals.
,
• Facilitate the development and negotiation of non-disclosure agreements, statements of work, and master service agreements.
,
• Collaborate with account managers to complete required accounting needs for new clients and new projects for current clients.
,
• Assist the project team to transition from the contracting process to project kickoff.
,
• Monitor Customer Relationship Management software and associated processes, including development of reports and other metrics that will help the business measure success.

• Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.
,
• Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright's culture of safety and employee ownership.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences, Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Business or related field.

• Experience in business development strongly preferred.
,
• Knowledge of multiple agricultural industries and their respective supply chains.
,
• Ability to work with a team of cross-functional experts in multiple locations.
,
• Experience in using a Customer Relationship Management system.
,
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products utilizing the latest operating system.
,
• Demonstrated excellent customer service focusing on rapport-building, listening, questioning, and patience.
,
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, both technical and non-technical.
,
• Ability to function in a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment.
,
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience in business development within environmental or sustainability sectors.
