True Environmental is seeking a Business Development Lead for Environmental Assessment & Permitting in Whitehorse, SD. About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Environmental Permitting, the Project Development Lead – EA & Permitting is responsible for leading the development of projects and programs for the Environmental Permitting & Regulatory and Environmental Assessment business lines and leading business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Works with the Director of Environmental Permitting and the Director of Environmental Assessment to develop/understand business plan and strategic goals, and support business development initiatives.
• Identifies new project opportunities with clients for the permitting and environmental assessment business practices as well as other functional areas as appropriate.
• Works with customers to develop service offerings that meet their needs.
• Supports new projects through initiation as a client interface as needed, to the point where expectations are clear and can be met by the delivery team. Maintains engagement as appropriate to ensure quality in delivery.
• Leads/supports capture efforts including developing capture strategies, bid strategies, value propositions, and proposals.
• Engages with potential and current clients through meetings, conferences, and other means.
• Develops professional and business relationships across the industry to better advance Ensero’s growth and strategic initiatives.
• Serves as a Client Partner, building key accounts through time.
• Serves as a senior resource to lead/deliver environmental planning, regulatory, permitting and assessment projects.
• Interfaces, engages, and consults with various levels of government, Indigenous groups/governments, stakeholders, and communities.
• Represents Ensero Solutions and our clients in regulatory and community meetings, workshops and events and oversees the preparation of presentation materials.
• Conducts senior reviews of technical deliverables and programs in areas(s) of expertise.
• Monitors and promotes environmental, health and safety compliance.
• Completes other projects, reporting and tasks as assigned.
• All other related duties as required.
About You
• University degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 10 years of environmental permitting or regulatory experience.
• Experience working in environmental consulting or project consulting setting.
• Experience in building relationships and engaging with Indigenous groups and all levels of Government.
• Knowledge of and experience in Yukon’s and BC’s (and other jurisdictions) impact assessment and licensing regime for resource development projects.
