Job Description
Artha Energy Resources is hiring a Business Development Executive for their rooftop solar initiatives in New Delhi. The role involves driving strategy, engaging with power consumers, evaluating potential clients, and managing sales processes from lead generation to contract closure. Candidates should have a relevant degree, experience in solar business development, strong financial modeling skills, and excellent communication abilities. This is a full-time position with a salary range of ₹500K–₹800K per year.
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Executive to lead our rooftop solar business initiatives. This exciting role offers the opportunity to significantly impact our growth within the renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing our strategic vision, identifying and seizing new opportunities, and achieving both individual and team targets. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, financial expertise, and the ability to manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure with enthusiasm and commitment.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Drive the implementation of our organizational strategy for the rooftop solar business model, aiming to exceed individual and team targets.
• Engage with power consumers daily to assess and uncover the potential for rooftop solar projects.
• Evaluate electricity bills, credit ratings, and roof images (utilizing tools like Google Earth) to pinpoint potential clients.
• Develop tailored financial models and proposals that meet the specific needs and requirements of clients.
• Coordinate and support the finalization of Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), managing contract terms and commercial negotiations with precision.
• Provide support to the Manager throughout the sales process, from the initial pitch to closing deals and signing agreements, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
• Ensure timely payments for capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects and establish robust project security for operational expenditure (OPEX) projects.
Key Skills And Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in BE/BTech, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Proven track record in business development within the solar energy industry, particularly with a focus on rooftop solar projects.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, ROI analysis, and the preparation of compelling proposals.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a talent for building strong relationships and influencing decision-makers.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a proactive approach to achieving ambitious targets.
• Experience managing the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure, is essential.
• Familiarity with the legal aspects of contract negotiations, particularly related to PPA agreements, is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of solar energy policies, regulations, and market trends is highly desirable.
