Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Bus Operator to join our team at Green Mountain Transit. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of buses in the transport of passengers. This role requires excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a focus on providing a high level of service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
• Operate buses safely and efficiently, adhering to all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to passenger inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition, report any discrepancies to the dispatcher or supervisor.
• Fill out reports, such as Pre-Trip Inspection forms and passenger count surveys, accurately and within established timeframes.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members through radio and written communications.
Requirements:
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement required.
• Must possess a valid Department of Transportation physical examination certification.
• Ability to safely and effectively drive various types of buses.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
