We are seeking a Bridge Design Technician to join our team inToledo, OH. The final candidate will be located within commuting distance of our Toledo, OH office.
The Bridge Design Technician will possess a strong background with plan production for transportation and infrastructure projects, with proficiency in using MicroStation (or AutoCAD/Civil 3D) and ProjectWise (and other similar file sharing software). The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree in Design Technology, Applied Science, or alternate applicable degree and five (5) or more years' experience in performing engineering design drafting on road or bridge projects.
What You'll Do:
Develop CAD drawings consisting of bridge plans, elevations, sections and details, from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information, according to established standards and procedures Take notes/sketches/mark-ups and formalize them into CAD plan sheets Prepare quantities and bills of materials for bridge components Work closely with the engineering team to ensure a coordinated design Apply standard drafting/design principles and tools to complete assignments Compile data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings Make required changes, additions, and/or revisions, following an established quality cycle of checking, backchecking, correcting and verifying Manage assembly and delivery of completed drawings sets within the bridge discipline What You Bring:Associate's or equivalent degree in Computer Aided Drafting or similar. 5+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency with Bentley tools: MicroStation, ProjectWise, Open Bridge Modeler. Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D is also a plus, but not required. Experience with rebar detailing preferred, but not required Ability to interpret and ensure conformance to applicable ODOT CAD standards, including the ability to set up workspace environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organization and time-management skills to perform tasks on multiple projects at a given time. Salary Range:
The minimum salary for this position is $60,000 (negotiable based on experience and qualifications). Final offer depends on location, skills, and certifications. Verdantas provides a comprehensive benefits package and rewards exceptional performance while ensuring fair compensation across roles.
