Job Description:

This role involves working in a fast-paced laboratory environment where you will be responsible for maintaining quality results, participating in staff training, and identifying abnormal patient conditions. You will also provide test results for patient diagnosis and treatment by operating chemistry equipment and ensure patient safety by completing blood typing, antibody screening, and compatibility testing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance.
• Participate in staff training as a technical resource.
• Identify and communicate abnormal patient conditions to supervisory personnel.
• Provide test results for patient diagnosis and treatment by operating chemistry equipment.
• Ensure patient safety by completing blood typing, antibody screening, and compatibility testing.
• Contribute to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
• Maintain patient confidentiality by keeping laboratory information private.
• Organize and store chemicals, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions.
• Record data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.
• Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies.
