Biogas Technician

Roeslein Alternative Energy is seeking a Biogas Technician in Osceola, IA. The role involves operating and maintaining biogas generation and flare systems, monitoring production, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring safety compliance. The technician will coordinate with farm management and maintain equipment. This is a full-time position requiring travel between multiple farms.
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Technician will be responsible for the control, operation and maintenance of the biogas generation system (lagoon cover) and the biogas flare system for the farm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Serve as plant lead to determine priority of daily activity in conjunction with responsible operations supervisor.

§ Monitor biogas production and flare operations; analyze operations and make adjustments as needed to optimize performance.

§ Maintain process equipment: blowers, flares, instrumentation and controls.

§ Troubleshoot deficient operations/recommend solutions.

§ Perform testing and analysis on lagoon performance.

§ Coordinate/communicate RAE activities with MBM farm management.

§ Safely drive between multiple farms.

§ Follow all the process safety requirements including wearing a full face respirator for several hours at a time.

§ Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations.

§ Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
