Biofuel Industry & Technology Research Internship

Energy Alternatives India is offering a Biofuel Industry & Technology Research Internship in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The internship focuses on researching biofuel technologies and market trends, analyzing industry data, and supporting business strategy development. Candidates must be available for a full-time, in-office position for two months, starting between April and May 2025. Energy Alternatives India (EAI) is a leading Indian climate tech consulting firm. While we work across many climate tech sectors, bio-based sustainability solutions is a high focus domain; and within this, we have a strong background in biofuels - ethanol, biodiesel, biogas, CBG, drop-in biofuel substitutes, bio-based hydrogen.

As a Biofuel Industry & Technology Research Intern at EAI, you will have the opportunity to do a deep dive into specific biofuel technologies & opportunity domains within India and globally.

Your role will involve analyzing both industry trends and technology solutions for diverse biofuels - solid, liquid and gaseous biofuels - and utilizing diverse biomass feedstocks - ranging from agricultural waste to MSW.

Most of your work will involve deep research of specific technology pathways or opportunity business cases, and will require a keen all-around interest in understanding technology, economic,s and market forces.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Conduct research on various emerging biofuel production methods and technologies

2. Analyze market trends and competitive landscape in the Indian and global biofuel industry

3. Deep dive into understanding critical aspects of niche technologies for making biofuels

4. Assist in evaluating business cases and in developing business strategies for the commercialization of biofuels

5. Support our senior professionals in conducting primary interactions by coordinating with senior industry professionals from India and global.

6. Support in making high-quality presentations and recommendations to senior management
