About Us:

In late 2022 99 Bikes acquired Hargroves Cycles, a long running family owned UK Business. 99 Bikes UK is owned by the Pedal Group, a group based in Australia comprising over 70+ bicycle retail shops and a wholesale business based in Australia and NZ.

Our vision is to be “The World’s Most Approachable Bike Shops”. Our shop teams are filled with driven consultants on the sales floor and skilled mechanics in the workshop. We find the outcomes that our customers want and reward our people for doing this. Our main support office is based in Southampton.

The scale of the business creates a huge amount of opportunity for our people as we promote from within as much as possible - like the employee who started out as a Bike Builder in a shop and worked his way up to become a General Manager. We are looking for future leaders who can grow their careers with us at 99 Bikes and Pedal Group.

About The Role:

We are looking to employ high-achieving mechanics who are motivated to provide one on one service to our customers and complete efficient, quality services and bike builds.
• You don’t need to know everything about bikes. A mechanical aptitude is a great foundation.
• We offer complete on the job training and support
• Each team has regular meeting rhythms, plus individual 1on1 coaching and development
• Tiered financial upfront payments and rewards based on achievement, efficiency, quality, upskilling knowledge and team work
• Be a part of a team running a successful business and everything that comes with that
• Varying shift times available and your Team Leader adapts the roster to meet the needs of each person and the customers
• Some flexibility is available and there is plenty of weekend work if desired.
• This is a fantastic opportunity for those who have excelled in the past and are looking to build a career with an industry leader.

To Be Successful In This Role You Need:
• Solid proven achievements. These can be demonstrated in personal goals, sporting or through study and work. We value a successful track record and drive.
• A past history demonstrating commitment, reliability, continual improvement and learning.
• Good communication skills and demonstrated success in developing and maintaining good relationships.
• Mechanical aptitude - we will provide on the job training
