Sales - The most visible, public job at Ken's. Do you love to ride (bikes) and slide (on snow)? Are you honest, hard-working and fun to talk to? Have you developed strong active listening skills and the drive to help your team succeed? Can you answer the phone, stock shelves and juggle numerous customers' requests - with a smile - all at the same time? Then you'll love this job and excel in it. We're looking for those who can represent this business and all three of 'our' sports with excitement - people who enjoy helping others get into cycling, skiing & snowboarding even more than they enjoy those sports themselves. Prefer full-time candidates, but part-timers (20-30 hrs/wk) with strong qualifications may be considered.
Starting wage $16.90-20/hr + performance bonuses, DOE.
Bicycle Mechanic - This is where it began, with the Bike Surgeons way back in 1980. The foundation of Ken's business is taking great care of our clients' needs for safe, reliable, healthy and fun transportation / recreation aboard a well-running two-wheeled machine. As a bike mechanic, you'll spend your days with grease, cables, bearings, spokes and tires - both assembling/tuning new bikes, and fixing/maintaining older ones. Experience & training in all aspects of bike assembly & repair, from wheel building to disc brakes to internal gearing, is very helpful - but we will train a man or woman with outstanding aptitude & potential. Excellent client service skills, manual dexterity, phone manners, and team focus are all necessary to succeed in this fast-paced, challenging, creative and rewarding job. Full-time or part-time (minimum 24 hrs/wk).
