Job Description
Paul Wakeling Motor Group is seeking a full-time Bicycle Mechanic for Camden Cycles in Australia. Responsibilities include identifying bike faults, assembling new bikes, performing repairs, and providing customer service. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, passion for customer service, and teamwork skills. Experience is preferred but not mandatory. Camden Cycles is a local, family-owned and operated organisation, with a long-standing history in Camden. We’re home to several top leading bicycle brands, including road bikes, mountain bikes or even your Child’s first bicycles
Overview of the Role
We are currently seeking a full-time Bicycle Mechanic, to join our growing team at Camden Cycles.
Reporting to the Shop manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
Identifying faults, damage, and wear on bikes
Assembling new bikes for customers
Carrying out minor repairs (e.g fixing punctures)
Wheel tuning (straightening bike wheels so they are properly aligned)
Fitment of accessories
Carrying out routine services and safety checks
Cleaning, degreasing and lubricating bicycles and components
Estimating costs & booking in customers’ requests
Dealing with customer queries and offering product or general cycling advice
Record all work carried out on bikes + update the database. Keep the inventory of the workshop updated.
Completing repairs & servicing within the necessary timeframe.
Demonstrated experience is preferred although if you feel you meet the above criteria, we encourage you to apply.
