The Travel Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician, Level II in the PEARCE Renewables Energy Storage Systems (ESS) division performs tasks involving operations and maintenance (O&M) and physical labor at commercial and industrial solar energy projects located throughout the United States. This is a 100% travel role. In this position, you will troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment. You will also perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person and under properly performed LOTO conditions. Daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs) will be part of your responsibilities. You will interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner and act as a team member to support site work, which could include supervising field work onsite focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.

• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).

Requirements
• 2+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components is required.

• 2+ years of Renewable energy experience is preferred.
,
• A commitment to safety and attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
,
• Post-secondary education is preferred.
,
• Electrical certifications are preferred such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E.

• Excellent written and verbal skills to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) internal and external requirements is required.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience in commercial and industrial solar energy projects.
