Citi is seeking a Banker to develop client relationships with financial sponsors, manage business mandates, and perform financial analyses in New York, NY. Responsibilities include driving transaction execution, advising on M&A, and leading credit approval processes. A hybrid work schedule may be allowed for those within a commutable distance. Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Banker for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Develop and manage relationships with financial sponsor clients including private equity firms. Originate new business mandates from financial sponsors related to financial advisory, capital raising, and risk management. Liaise with product and industry coverage partners to deliver advice and drive transaction execution for financial sponsor clients and sponsor-backed portfolio companies. Perform complex financial analyses related to valuation, credit underwriting, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital markets transactions. Drive idea generation related to new investment opportunities including leveraged buyouts, minority stake investments, and structured capital investments. Assist financial sponsor clients with portfolio monetization including M&A processes, initial public offerings (IPOs), private placements, and dividend recapitalizations. Lead internal credit approval process related to acquisition financings, dividend recapitalizations, refinancings, and other credit transactions for private equity clients. Ensure risk and controls processes related to internal and external policies are adhered to by cross functional deal teams. Serve as technical subject matter expert in relevant accounting, corporate finance, and capital markets concepts. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation performing analysis of financial transactions including acquisition financing. Three (3) years of experience must include: Leading transaction execution, driving business development efforts, and contributing to franchise growth; Managing complex projects related to strategic advisory, credit underwriting, and capital markets transactions; Handling financial analysis, financial modelling, credit underwriting, valuation, and strategic advisory; Providing advisory services on corporate finance topics including capital raising, risk management, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), valuation, and capital deployment; Leading complex financial analyses by developing, reviewing, and presenting financial models related to valuation, M&A, and credit underwriting; and Analyzing and interpreting financial statements, equity research, economic data, credit rating reports, and accounting and business diligence, in support of client transactions and advisory assignments. 40 hrs./wk.
