B1 LAME - Gold Coast

Airswift is seeking a B1 or B2 Licenced Aircraft Engineer for a permanent position in Gold Coast, QLD, Australia. The role involves ensuring aircraft airworthiness, performing diagnostic and mechanical duties, and maintaining detailed records. Candidates should have a CASA Part 66 Licence and experience with GA/business jets. The salary ranges from $120,000 to $145,000 plus super and bonuses, with full-time hours from Monday to Friday.
Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced B1 or B2 Licenced Aircraft Engineer to work for an established aviation maintenance specialist, who are looking for an experienced LAME to ensure the airworthiness of aircraft fleet. Ideally, you will have a type rating on GA / business jets such as Cessna, Pilatus, King Air B200/300.

Location- Gold Coast, QLD

Duration- Permanent

Salary- $120,000 - $145,000 + Super + Bonus

Hours- Monday – Friday – 7am-3.30pm

Relocation- Interstate relocation package if required (from within Australia only)

Responsibilities
• Identify and correct malfunctioning jet, turboprop and multi-engine aircraft components and systems
• Diagnostic and mechanical duties incl. required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly
• Service complex aircraft assemblies, landing gear, air conditioning systems, pressurisation systems, fuel control units, oil pumps, starter / generators, hydraulic and vacuum pumps
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs and component replacements
• Conduct routine and non-routine maintenance tasks, including engine overhauls, avionics installations, and structural repairs.
• Modification of aircraft systems and structures
• Observe in-flight operation and troubleshoot any issues for repair

Required Experience
• CASA Part 66 B1.1 Licence or B2 Licence
• First type rating, preferably on GA aircraft
• Full Australian working rights – must have current Permanent Residency or Citizenship
