Job Description

The AVP Manager of Education & Outreach at CPC Climate Capital will focus on developing outreach and educational materials to promote multifamily building decarbonization strategies funded by $2.5 billion in Greenhouse Gas Reduction funds. Responsibilities include creating presentations, tools for financing navigation, case studies, and delivering training to stakeholders. The role aims to align climate goals with affordable housing and equity initiatives, while operating remotely.
About the position

CPC Climate Capital is a new division within The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC) and a sub-award partner of Climate United Fund. This division is tasked with supporting Calvert Impact in the deployment of approximately $2.5 billion in Greenhouse Gas Reduction (GGRF) funds. The primary goal is to advance the CPC Climate Capital Multifamily Decarbonization Strategy on a national scale. CPC Climate Capital has been selected to administer a portion of the awarded GGRF funds on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This involves providing subordinate debt financing to owners of multifamily housing across the nation to reduce or eliminate on-site fossil fuels, thereby significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The climate goals of CPC Climate Capital are designed to align with other critical national priorities, including the creation and preservation of affordable housing, promoting equity and environmental justice, and supporting high-quality jobs. The Manager of Education & Outreach will play a pivotal role in this initiative by collaborating closely with the Director of Program Management, Manager of Market Building & Partnerships, and Manager of Communications. This position will focus on developing a variety of outreach and educational materials aimed at raising awareness about CPC Climate Capital's suite of products. The goal is to educate stakeholders about program requirements, building decarbonization performance standards, and the commitment to investing in low-income and disadvantaged communities (LIDAC). The educational materials will be tailored to the unique climates, energy infrastructure, building types, and local economics of the 10 EPA regions. Key responsibilities include developing presentations on CPC Climate Capital's financial products, program eligibility, performance standards, and general green building issues and solutions. The Manager will also create tools and educational assets to help transaction partners and interested building owners navigate the financing process, assess eligibility, and estimate greenhouse gas reduction impacts. Additionally, the role involves proactively developing assets that support the market for building decarbonization and integrating GGRF capital into the mortgage origination process. The Manager will be responsible for developing case studies and sample solutions to share with the market, delivering ongoing training to various stakeholders, and tracking and reporting impact metrics in alignment with EPA requirements. Administrative duties may also be required as needed.
