Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Automotive Technician to undertake a range of diagnostic, repair and servicing activities across a variety of vehicles. Reporting to the Site Manager, this is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Bathurst, NSW, offering the chance to join a well-established operation focused on safety, customer satisfaction and high service standards.

Responsibilities
As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical servicing that enhances vehicle performance and ensures customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
• Performing quality mechanical servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles
• Diagnosing faults and completing servicing using appropriate tools, techniques and safety practices
• Providing accurate repair quotations to customers
• Accurately recording time and job details to support reporting and workflow
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
• Road testing vehicles post-repair to ensure safety and service quality
• Supporting the Site Manager in minimising costs and achieving operational targets
• Washing and detailing vehicles when required
• Upholding WHS and Equal Employment Opportunity standards
• Sharing knowledge and supporting your team for operational efficiency
• Maintaining professional appearance and timekeeping
• Performing overtime as required to meet business needs
Your Profile
To thrive in this role, you’ll be a qualified and safety-conscious technician with strong technical and diagnostic skills. Key requirements include:
• Trade qualifications as a Motor Mechanic and successful completion of an apprenticeship
• 1-2 years experience in repairing and maintaining a range of motor vehicles
• Current and valid driver's licence
• MVRIA Licence (or equivalent)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
• Customer-focused attitude with clear communication skills
