LVI Associates is hiring an Associate Wetland Scientist in San Diego, CA. My client is seeking an experienced Wetland Scientist to join their team in Southern California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wetland ecology, delineation, and restoration, with a focus on environmental compliance, regulatory permitting, and project management.Key Responsibilities:Conduct wetland delineations and assessments.Develop and implement wetland restoration and mitigation plans.Prepare detailed reports and documentation for regulatory compliance.Manage regulatory permitting processes for wetland projects.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including biologists, hydrologists, and engineers.Monitor and evaluate wetland health and functionality.Provide expert guidance on wetland conservation and management practices.Engage with stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and community groups.Conduct fieldwork and data collection in various wetland environments.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or a related field.Minimum 3 years' experience in wetland delineation, restoration, and mitigation.Strong understanding of federal, state, and local wetland regulations.Proven experience in regulatory permitting for wetland projects.Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.Proficiency in GIS and other mapping tools.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience with stakeholder engagement and public consultation processes.
