cKinetics is hiring an Associate/Sr. Associate Research Consultant for Carbon Markets/Clean Fuels in New Delhi, India. cKinetics is looking for an energetic Associate who is passionate about the carbon market & energy transition space and looking to be a part of the team that does meaningful cutting-edge work.

Purpose of the position:

The Associate role involves assessing and evaluating research elements to produce required Outputs for client deliveries. Deliverables include creative presentations/narratives backed by market analysis, data insights and modelling.

The candidate must:

(i) Develop an understanding of different drivers and constraints impacting specific market within the voluntary or compliance carbon markets

(ii) Undertake primary and secondary research and present findings in aligned structures and formats

(iii) Meet internal delivery timelines diligently

(iv) Work cohesively and contribute positively to team environment

(v) Learn and hone skillsets that are essential to delivering tasks with the requisite quality.

Key responsibilities:

1) Sector and Industry Research:

- Independently undertaking analysis of global carbon markets, and regional programs with specific focus on North America & EU.

- Monitoring legislative changes and market developments and assessing their impact on respective carbon markets/ programs.

- Leading conversation with clients, advisors, and external market participants globally and solving client problems.

- Identifying patterns and trends in data to draw conclusions and make inferences.

2) Project delivery

- Creating impactful written and oral presentations - Produce reports containing data insights, trends, patterns, etc. derived from structured/ unstructured data analysis.

- Collaborating with the project/ internal teams - Work with Senior Associates/ SEMs/ EMs to develop cohesive solutions for client projects/ problems/ programs/ product.

- Providing delivery support for on-demand consulting projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery and with requisite client delight.

3) Project Monitoring and Time Management

- Adhering to task completion timelines by self-monitoring and aligning with Analysts for successful project completion.

- Utilizing internal/ company project management/ time management tools/ software in day-to-day work to record time utilization for respective projects.

Academic qualifications & Experience:

- MBA/ Master's degree in relevant field/ and a desire to work in the Sustainability space.

- Must have relevant 2-6 years of experience in consulting in a related field: carbon markets, cap-and-trade, emission trading systems, clean fuel programs, biofuels, oil & gas, energy transition, sustainability and low carbon transition sector, renewable energy.
