Dominion Energy is seeking an Associate Environmental Compliance Coordinator for the Possum Point Power Station in Dumfries, VA. This entry-level role involves ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, assisting in inspections, and providing training on safety procedures. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience or a degree in Environmental Science. Strong communication and organizational skills are required. This position does not offer remote work or relocation assistance.

Job SummaryThis developmental level role assists in ensuring company compliance, at Possum Point Power Station in Dumfries, VA, with environmental, chemical, waste management, and permit regulations. Works with senior staff responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the work site, to comply with regulatory and company standards and procedures. Develops competence in liaising with external and governmental agencies. Assists in coordination with and monitoring of operations and maintenance personnel, to ensure site compliance with environmental, chemical inventory and safety, waste management, and wildlife management rules and regulations. Assists with inspections and assessments and learns to provide recommendations regarding compliance issues to management. Assists with analyzing data and preparing management reports on environmental compliance or safety records. Assists in procuring services or materials for the administration and implementation of environmental and safety programs. Assists in coordinating hazardous waste disposal. Assists in providing training to site personnel in handling of chemicals and waste materials, and for other procedural requirements. Learns to evaluate new regulations and how to coordinate compliance plans.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperienceThe knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following: At least 2 years of directly related experience and knowledge with Associate's degree, or preferred Bachelor's degree in Environmental or science-related field and 0-2 years experience; Basic knowledge of related environmental regulations and applicable environmental requirements; Ability to develop, implement and administer complex environmental compliance plans; Ability to interpret and/or apply environmental requirements to company operations and to translate regulatory regulations, permit and plan requirements into understandable compliance guidance; Ability to prepare and/or review compliance and regulatory documents and reports; Excellent written and oral communication skills including public speaking skills; Analytical and record keeping skills; Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel and Power Point); Organizational skills and time management skills; Ability to work in field environmentsEducation RequirementsDegree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: BachelorPreferred Discipline(s): Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, ScienceOther disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.Licenses, Certifications, or Quals DescriptionWorking ConditionsCold Up to 25%Dust / Grease / Oil Up to 25%Energized Wires Up to 25%Fumes Up to 25%Heat Up to 25%Loud Noise Up to 25%Operating Machinery Up to 25%Outdoors Up to 25%Office Work Environment 76 -100%Travel Up to 25%Other Working ConditionsExposure to hazardous materials and chemicals.Test DescriptionNo Testing Required.Export ControlCertain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
