Job SummaryThis developmental level role assists in ensuring company compliance, at Possum Point Power Station in Dumfries, VA, with environmental, chemical, waste management, and permit regulations. Works with senior staff responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the work site, to comply with regulatory and company standards and procedures. Develops competence in liaising with external and governmental agencies. Assists in coordination with and monitoring of operations and maintenance personnel, to ensure site compliance with environmental, chemical inventory and safety, waste management, and wildlife management rules and regulations. Assists with inspections and assessments and learns to provide recommendations regarding compliance issues to management. Assists with analyzing data and preparing management reports on environmental compliance or safety records. Assists in procuring services or materials for the administration and implementation of environmental and safety programs. Assists in coordinating hazardous waste disposal. Assists in providing training to site personnel in handling of chemicals and waste materials, and for other procedural requirements.
