NAB is seeking an Associate Director for Financial Crime Risk Mitigation, based in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney. The role involves advising on AML/CTF and fraud matters, providing risk management guidance, and collaborating with stakeholders. In this Associate Director fixed-term role, reporting into the Manager AML/CTF Enabling Units Advisory, within NAB’s Financial Crime Risk Mitigation team, you will:
• Advise and challenge the Enabling Units on all aspects of AML/CTF and/or Fraud matters.
• Provide ongoing risk management guidance and maintain oversight of AML/CTF and Fraud risk events to ensure root cause is adequately identified and addressed.
• Provide policy guidance, definition, and interpretation assistance, and conduct oversight activities.
• Work as an effective team member, supporting peers and recognising the contributions of others to ensure the achievement of team goals.
• Working closely with key stakeholders to influence decisions based on internal and external market insights (particularly in relation to Financial Crime trends and challenges).

What you will bring:
• Demonstrated experience in compliance, risk management, preferably within financial services and with a focus on financial crime.
• Sound knowledge of financial crime requirements and regulations locally (and globally), relating to Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing and/or Fraud with Line 1 or Line 2 experience.
• Knowledge of banking products across one or more divisions or financial crime processes is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective influencing and negotiating abilities and time management.
• Able to think critically and make decisions autonomously, willingness to learn, is critical for this role.
• Commercial awareness and ability to understand broader business issues.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast moving and demanding environment.
