Associate Buyer - Supply Chain

Strata Clean Energy is hiring an Associate Buyer in Durham, NC. The role involves setting up vendors, closing purchase orders, updating reports, resolving receiving issues, correcting invoices, and preparing Concur reports. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A high school diploma is required; experience in purchasing is preferred. This is a full-time position based in the office.
Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Associate to join our team at Strata Clean Energy. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the setup of new vendors, closing out purchase orders, reviewing and updating the Open PO report, addressing receiving issues, reviewing and correcting invoice errors, preparing and submitting Concur reports, and serving as a backup for buyers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Set up new vendors, verify documentation, and ensure accuracy.
• Close out purchase orders upon delivery and verification.
• Review and update the Open PO report, tracking ETAs and following up on delays.
• Resolve receiving issues, including shortages, overages, and substitutions.
• Correct invoice errors, collaborating with suppliers and the accounts payable team.
• Prepare and submit Concur reports for credit card purchases.
• Support buyers with order placements, vendor communication, and other purchasing activities.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or coursework in supply chain management or a related field is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or administration is an asset.

This position is based in our Durham office. You must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 20 pounds.
