Overview:
The College of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) at Oregon State University (OSU) invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, fixed-term Assistant or Associate Professor of Teaching in Environmental Sciences position. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in the Environmental Sciences Undergraduate Program. Responsibilities:
• Teach introductory and advanced courses in Environmental Sciences, both on-campus and online, as assigned by the Program Director. * Develop and maintain an active program of scholarly research that contributes to the effectiveness of educational programs in Environmental Sciences. * Provide service to the college, university, and scientific and broader community to sustain and promote the college and university educational, research, and outreach missions. Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, the successful candidate must have:
• A PhD in environmental sciences, environmental policy, environmental management, or a closely-related field. * Evidence of or commitment to excellence in inclusive teaching, mentoring, and/or student success. * Expertise in environmental assessment, monitoring, analysis, and/or compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
