Job Description
Washington and Lee University seeks an Assistant Professor of Economics specializing in Environmental Economics, starting July 1, 2025. About the position
The Washington and Lee University Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Environmental Economics. The appointment begins July 1, 2025. The appointed candidate will be responsible for offering courses in environmental economics, actively contributing to the interdisciplinary program Environmental Studies, and teaching other economics courses as needed. The faculty teaching load is five sections a year, with newly appointed faculty receiving a one-section reduction for the first year. The department features an active research seminar, a pre-tenure leave in the third, fourth, or fifth year, and strong research support, which provides an excellent environment for professional development and scholarly activities.
