Overview: The School for the Environment at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in water resources sustainability and hydrologic sciences at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin September 1, 2025. Responsibilities:
• Conduct outstanding research in water resources sustainability and hydrologic sciences
• Build an externally funded research program that will attract high-caliber PhD- and MS-level graduate students
• Teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, including mentoring undergraduate and graduate students
• Collaborate with colleagues in a transdisciplinary research environment
• Develop and teach courses in the area of water resources sustainability and hydrologic sciences
• *Qualifications:**
• Hold a doctorate in an appropriate field
• Demonstrate a strong research record and a commitment to mentoring students
• Have a broad expertise in hydrologic sciences, including but not limited to, hydrologic impacts to coastal environments and communities, river and stream discharge, submarine groundwater discharge, and seawater intrusion
• Have an interest in collaborative team-based and transdisciplinary research
