Job Description

WWF-India is seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager for Vendor & Merchandise Management in New Delhi. The role involves managing vendor relationships, optimizing pricing, and enhancing customer experience for conservation products. Candidates should have a BA/BSC degree, 3 years of relevant experience, and strong analytical skills. The position requires on-site work, with responsibilities including product development, pricing management, and collaboration with marketing teams.
WWF-India, one of the largest conservation organizations, engaged in wildlife and nature conservation in the country, invites applications from candidates to join the Conservations Products Division team as Assistant Manager/Manager – Vendor and Merchandise Management Conservation Products. The Vendor and Merchandise Manager will be responsible for managing and working with all vendors across the production line to deliver high quality cost effective products aligned with the eCommerce marketing strategy. Within this role, the individual will have the opportunity to establish and maintain strong vendor partnerships, manage category profitability, optimize pricing, and identify means to improve the customer experience. Candidate must demonstrate a broad skill set comprising of strong vendor management and negotiations skills, analytical capability and excellent business judgment.

Location: New Delhi – Fulltime (Mon-Fri on site)

Job Profile:
• Manage growing selection, improve terms and cost structures, build long-term relationships with vendors for all products.
• Creates strategic and prioritised vendor business plan that optimises margins and customer experience.
• Manage pricing and promotion management, analysis of data at granular levels, vendor escalations and concise communications.
• Review and approve vendor invoices if billing is appropriate based on terms of the contract.
• Execute new product development in collaboration with the concerned teams.
• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with the communications and marketing team to plan promotions and advertising campaigns for merchandise.
• Create opportunities for growth and customer acquisition.
• Identify industry trends and develop innovative sustainable product & sourcing initiatives to support growth

Requirements

Desired Qualifications and Skills:
• Minimum BA/BSC graduate
• Minimum 3 years of experience doing one of several roles: quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, pricing, basic marketing.
• Proficiency in Excel, PPT and proven analytical skills.
• The position requires an individual who can work autonomously in a demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail and effective prioritisation.
• Working knowledge of AMS (Amazon marketing services) and Seller and vendor central Amazon and other online seller services will be a plus
