Job Description

TransGrid is seeking an Asset Investment Analyst to provide data-driven analytics and insights for investment decisions across various asset classes. The role requires experience in the electricity or utility sectors, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The Opportunity

As an Asset Investment Analyst, you will be accountable for providing data-driven predictive analytics and insights to support investment decisions (on both capital and operational) across all asset classes for the business.

What does success look like?
• An ability to provide reliable and actionable insights/recommendations on prescribed capital investments to enable Transgrid to optimise the balance of cost, risk and performance on its network assets.
• An ability to support the assessment and tracking of program delivery to ensure alignment with promises made in the prior budget cycle.
• You will contribute to strategies and procedures relating to investment performance for all assets across the asset lifecycle, including KPI development.
• You will contribute to the development of approaches to determine effective trade-offs between capex/opex and risk/cost/performance.

About you
• Experience in a similar profession role within the electricity, utility or consulting industries
• Tertiary qualifications at degree level in an appropriate discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
• A proactive, self-starter approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Analytical mindset with a capability to break down complex problems into manageable parts.
• Motivation to learn and adapt to complex subjects with a willingness to ask questions and seek clarity.
• Knowledge and experience in capital investment analysis, and benefits realisation skills, including experience with portfolio optimisation
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite of Packages, Particularly Excel, Power Point
