Role Description
The Asset Contract & Technical Officer is a newly created opportunity in our Asset Management and Operations team based at our Perth CBD office with regular site travel.
The purpose of the role is to ensure the effective operations and optimisation of the Collie Battery Energy Storage Systems (CBESS) to safely achieve the agreed production, capacity, reliability, and efficiency objectives.
The Asset Contract & Technical Officer will ensure the effective execution of contracted Operation and Maintenance requirements, leading the coordination of contract activities and providing specialist technical advice to safely achieve the agreed objectives.
The role will lead, foster, and implement continuous improvement of practices and processes at CBESS to achieve operational targets.
Job Responsibilities
• Supporting key operations of CBESS to achieve the agreed production, cost, and performance targets in line with contractual and technical KPI’s.
• Coordination between the onsite operational & asset stakeholders and internal/ external teams to ensure that all plant is operated and dispatched to plan.
• Achieve targets as established with the FE Leadership as part of the annual performance planning process and as per the contracts for service providers.
• Provide input and feedback on updates required in asset management plans for the CBESS asset aligned to the portfolio asset mission statement.
• Take responsibility for the safety of all FE employees and contractors on site in support of the Synergy HSE team, relevant legislation, and Synergy’s and/or contractors OSH policies and procedures.
What You Will Bring
• Technical and/or Electrical Trade, contract and/or Project supervision/management with relevant practical experience.
• Technical knowledge and skills to manage plant operations.
• High level project management skills, strong analytical and coordination skills, with the tenacity to see ideas through conception to implementation.
• Experience within an energy related (e.g. electricity, oil & gas) or industrial/mining organisation.
• Experience managing/co-ordinating work and associated data records.
