Our client, a forward-thinking architectural firm, is seeking a talented Architectural Designer with a passion for sustainable design to join their team. This hybrid role offers a unique blend of remote work flexibility and in-office collaboration, fostering innovation and design excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong design sensibility, proficiency in architectural software, and a deep understanding of green building principles and materials. You will be responsible for contributing to the design and development of innovative, environmentally conscious projects from concept through construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Developing innovative architectural designs for a variety of project types, with a focus on sustainability and LEED certification. Creating schematic designs, design development documents, and construction documents using advanced architectural software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp). Collaborating closely with project managers, senior architects, engineers, and clients to define project scope and objectives. Conducting research on sustainable building materials, technologies, and energy-efficient design strategies. Preparing design presentations, renderings, and models for client meetings and public reviews. Ensuring designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards. Coordinating with consultants (e.g., structural, MEP, landscape) to integrate their designs into the overall project. Assisting with construction administration, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals. Staying current with architectural trends, innovative design solutions, and best practices in sustainable architecture. Contributing to firm-wide initiatives related to design quality and sustainability. Mentoring junior designers and interns on design principles and software usage. Performing site analysis and feasibility studies for potential projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on sustainable projects. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering software (e.g., Lumion, V-Ray). Strong understanding of LEED principles and green building practices. Excellent design skills, creativity, and a strong portfolio demonstrating project experience. Knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and construction methods. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, both in-office and remotely. Experience with construction administration is a plus. Architectural license (RA) or progress towards licensure is highly desirable.
