Mission for Position:

We are seeking Archaeological Field Technicians to join our team for upcoming cultural resource management projects. The primarily responsibilities will include conducting pedestrian surveys and shovel test excavations to identify and document archaeological resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct systematic pedestrian survey to identify archaeological materials.
• Perform shovel test excavations according to project protocols.
• Record filed observations including soil profiles, artifact descriptions, and site conditions.
• Collect and records archaeological data, artifacts, and materials for subsequent analysis and interpretation.
• Complete standardized field forms, notes, and sketch maps accurately.
• Use GPS units and tablets to document field data.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working in the field.
• Work collaboratively with crew members, field supervisors, and project managers.
Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or equivalent discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above.
• Familiarity with standard field equipment (e.g., GPS, compass, trowel, etc.)
• Ability to conduct strenuous fieldwork in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and rugged terrain.
• Willingness to travel for assignments as needed
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.Pay: $23.28 + $4.98 H&W
