Job Description
BASF SE is seeking an Apprentice in Merak, Indonesia, responsible for ensuring safety compliance, running production processes, achieving targets, and maintaining equipment. The role involves monitoring operations, training personnel, and collaborating with internal and external teams. A bachelor's degree in chemical or electrical engineering is required, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Previous work experience is preferred. The position is full-time.
Job Description:
• Follow all Environment, Health, and Safety rules and procedures.
• Acting as permit giver in the production area in accordance with the work permit matrix and other areas that have been determined for work in the area when outside of normal working hours.
• Provide insights to Manager regarding safety issue.
• Run production process during shift time.
• Achieve production target.
• Carry out the production process in accordance with the production procedures and work instructions provided.
• Monitoring the smooth operation of the production utility unit.
• Maintain all production and supporting equipment.
• Execute the process according to the shift leader’s instructions and existing procedures.
• Run Distributed Control System (DCS) according to existing batch card and Work Instructions.
• Recycle off spec products according to the instructions of the Quality Control Department.
• Investigate and report irregularities both related to the production process and factory safety during shift work.
• Participate in production briefing at the beginning of the shift on time.
• Monitoring the implementation of production targets.
• Monitor the effectiveness of production equipment related to production process, cycle time and fulfilment of factory capacity.
• Arrange Production and Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC) personnel duties (include shift time).
• Ensure that all personnel have received training according to their responsibilities.
• Align with Merak's Internal team member, such as process, maintenance, Environment, Health, and Safety, etc.
• Align with external parties to make sure the operations run well.
• Create and renewing procedures related with production and Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC).
Job Requirement:
• Minimum bachelor’s degree of chemical engineering or electric engineering from reputable university.
• Very good analytical thinking.
• Very good presentation and communication skill.
• Have a working experience is preferred.
