AP Analyst II

Greenbacker Renewable Energy is seeking an AP Analyst II for its Portland, ME office. The role involves managing accounts payable processes, including timely invoice processing, coding, review, and maintaining electronic files. The analyst will also assist with month-end closing, audits, and reporting while ensuring compliance with internal controls. Greenbacker has hired a senior executive with over 20 years and $25 billion of commercial real estate principal investment experience to manage this new vehicle and is actively growing the real estate investment team.

Requirements

Job Purpose/Background:

As Greenbacker continues to raise capital and grow our investment portfolio, an opportunity has arisen to join Greenbacker’s Accounting team. As a small and evolving firm, the responsibilities will be broad, varied, and all-encompassing.

Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for all accounting work necessary to insure accounts payable are processed in a timely manner

· Responsible for accurate coding and voucher entry of vendor invoices into accounting system based on services provided, life cycle stage of the project and other determining factors

· Review all invoices for appropriate documentation & approvals prior to payment

· Maintain Accounts Payable electronic files and storage

· Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues

· Assist in month end closing and accrual process

· Assist in annual external audits

· Perform analytical and ad hoc reporting as required

· Work with internal and external customers regarding account inquiries

· Ensure compliance with internal controls in accordance with policy

· Look for areas of process improvement to ensure efficient and effective processing of AP transactions

· Assist with other projects as needed

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Accounting preferred

· 1-2 years of experience in GL Accounting related field preferred

· Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel.

· Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud or other accounting ERP software programs is preferred.

· Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to thrive and grow quickly in a fast-growing company.

· Analytical and detail-oriented with a thirst for learning.

· Highly motivated, independent, results-oriented, and possesses a strong sense of ownership.
