The Roles
Chemonics is seeking exceptional Subject Matter Experts and Consultants for upcoming proposals and projects in the climate and civil maritime sectors:


Community‑led climate and disaster resilience Livelihoods, workforce development, and inclusive economic adaptation Local governance, policy, and regulatory reform Climate finance, investment facilitation, and public‑private partnerships Civil maritime, coastal governance, and port/community resilience Gender equality, disability equity, and social inclusion and locally led development Environmental resource management and biodiversity Climate risk analytics, remote sensing, and digital decision‑support tools Media, communications, AI and digitalisation, and knowledge sharing ESG, sustainability, and carbon accounting Essential Experience and Knowledge
Post‑graduate (Master’s) degree in climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, development, communications, finance, economics, business administration, law, or other related fields preferred At least ten (10) years of experience in relevant subject matter delivering quality services. Strong technical understanding of climate change impacts in the Philippines, including risks to vulnerable communities, livelihoods, infrastructure, and local governance systems Knowledge and understanding of the needs of different stakeholders such as women, the elderly, people with disabilities, and others with special mobility needs including an ability to community with a wide range of stakeholders Experience working with senior leadership across key Philippine government agencies, LGUs, civil society organisations, or community‑based institutions strongly preferred Strong English communication skills required; knowledge of Tagalog or other Philippine languages is a plus We are seeking Filipino nationals or expatriates currently based in the Philippines.
